Capetown Caper 2007
Anywhere Wild! returned to Humboldt County, drove from Ferndale to Bill Brandstetter’s massive ranch in the valley and camped on the ranch for the duration of our stay. The site is in Capetown, an old tan bark exporting village by the sea. Participants from last year joined us and enjoyed a whole new adventure. This year’s trip focused on carriage excursions up and down the Bear River and on our last day, a drive to the ocean. There were several highlights: the "eternal flame", driving down the river and then on to the Pacific, and a magnificent bonfire (well supervised) on our last night.
